नानाशाम्त्रेषु मुख्यैश्न शुश्राव स्वनमीरितम् । लोकायतिकमुख्यैश्न समनन््तादनुनादितम्
nānāśāstreṣu mukhyeṣu na śuśrāva svanam īritam | lokāyatikamukhyeṣu samanantād anunāditam ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—अनेक मुख्य शास्त्रांत त्याला आपलेच मत घोषित होताना ऐकू आले नाही; परंतु लोकायताच्या प्रमुख वादांत तेच मत सर्व दिशांनी, जणू अनंतपर्यंत, प्रतिध्वनित होत असल्याचे त्याला जाणवले।
