Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how speech and diplomatic gestures can either cool tensions or inflame them; an envoy’s arrival can become a catalyst for amarṣa (resentment), reminding readers that ethical restraint in communication is crucial to preventing escalation toward adharma-driven conflict.

This is a catalog-style transition: after mentioning the section that lists rathas and atirathas (warrior ranks), the text points to the next section—the episode of Ulūka’s messenger-visit—described as one that heightens anger and hostility.
