Educational Q&A

The passage underscores how dharmic social bonds—especially marriage alliances and family responsibilities—sustain the continuity of a righteous lineage; from such ordered relationships arise future defenders of dharma, here symbolized by Abhimanyu’s birth.

Kṛṣṇa, called Devakī’s son, arrives among the Pāṇḍavas after taking the bridal wealth, and subsequently Subhadrā gives birth to the exceptionally radiant warrior Abhimanyu.
