तथा बलवता भीम: पाणिशभ्यां भूशमाहतः । नैवावलोकयामास राक्षसं भुड्क्त एव सः,इस प्रकार बलवान राक्षसके दोनों हाथोंसे भयानक चोट खाकर भी भीमसेनने उसकी ओर देखातक नहीं, वे भोजन करनेमें ही संलग्न रहे
tathā balavatā bhīmaḥ pāṇibhyāṃ bhṛśam āhataḥ | naivāvalokayāmāsa rākṣasaṃ bhukta eva saḥ ||
वैशंपायन म्हणाले—त्या बलवान राक्षसाने दोन्ही हातांनी भीमावर भयंकर प्रहार केला; तरीही भीमसेनाने त्याच्याकडे पाहिलेही नाही—तो भोजनातच मग्न राहिला।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights inner steadiness: true strength is not merely physical power but the ability to remain unshaken and undistracted even when provoked or attacked.
A rākṣasa strikes Bhīma forcefully with both hands, yet Bhīma does not even turn to look at him and continues eating, signaling contempt for the threat and complete confidence.
