Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva/Nīlalohita’s words within the episode)
It teaches that true Shiva-darśana is not merely sensory; the devotee requires Shiva’s anugraha—an elevated vision—so Linga-pūjā matures into direct apprehension of Pati (the Lord).
Shiva appears as Pati who freely bestows the capacity to perceive Him; His form is accessible through grace, indicating His sovereignty over revelation and the devotee’s liberation from limitation (pāśa).
The key practice implied is Pashupata-oriented inner purification and devotion culminating in divya-dṛṣṭi (spiritual sight), where worship becomes contemplative Shiva-darśana rather than external ritual alone.
