सूर्यरथनिर्णयः (चन्द्रस्य पक्षवृद्धिक्षयविधानम्)

वृद्धिक्षयौ वै पक्षादौ षोडश्यां शशिनः स्मृतौ एवं सूर्यनिमित्तैषा पक्षवृद्धिर्निशाकरे

Transliteration

vṛddhikṣayau vai pakṣādau ṣoḍaśyāṃ śaśinaḥ smṛtau evaṃ sūryanimittaiṣā pakṣavṛddhirniśākare

Translation

चंद्राच्या वाढ-क्षयाचा विचार पक्षाच्या आरंभी व सोळाव्या तिथीस केला जातो; अशा रीतीने सूर्य निमित्त मानून निशाकरात पक्षवृद्धीची ही व्यवस्था सिद्ध होते।
