Sūta (narrating traditional dharma-vidhi as received from the sages)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Indirectly: it frames purity and immortality-symbolism (“amṛta”) as a ritual orientation—preparing the practitioner’s body-mind for higher knowledge, where the Atman is approached through disciplined purification.
This is a preparatory discipline (śauca) rather than a meditation technique: mantra-guided ācamana trains attentiveness, ritual precision, and inner cleanliness—foundational for later Yoga-sādhana and Pāśupata-oriented observances.
Not by explicit theology here, but by shared dharma-practice: the same purificatory rite and mantra-discipline undergird both Śaiva and Vaiṣṇava sādhana in the Kurma Purana’s synthesis.
