इत्युक्तः शङ्कुकर्णो ऽथ पिशाचमिदमब्रवीत् / त्वादृशो न हि लोके ऽस्मिन् विद्यते पुण्यकृत्तमः
ityuktaḥ śaṅkukarṇo 'tha piśācamidamabravīt / tvādṛśo na hi loke 'smin vidyate puṇyakṛttamaḥ
असे ऐकून शङ्कुकर्णाने त्या पिशाचाला म्हटले—“या लोकी तुझ्यासारखा कोणी नाही; पुण्यकर्म करण्यात तुझ्याहून श्रेष्ठ कोणी नाही.”
