प्रेतपिण्डं प्रदद्याच्च दाहार्तिशमनं खग / ततः प्रदक्षिणं कृक्त्वा चिताप्रस्थानवीक्षकाः

हे खग (गरुड)! दहनाची जळजळ शांत करण्यासाठी प्रेत-पिंड द्यावे. नंतर प्रदक्षिणा घालून, चितेच्या स्थानाकडे पाहत प्रस्थान करावे.
