FAQs

This verse stresses that Veda-sanctioned mantras are taught not merely for recitation but to be firmly held in the intellect, implying disciplined learning, correct preservation, and mindful application.

By linking lineage/tradition (Mantradyumna–Viśvāmitra) with Veda-based mantra instruction, it frames dharma as transmission of authentic Vedic knowledge and internalization through steady memory and understanding.

Study mantras from a reliable tradition, recite with accuracy, and cultivate daily mental retention through repetition and contemplation rather than treating chanting as a purely mechanical ritual.
