Soma Pacifies the Pracetās; Dakṣa’s Haṁsa-guhya Prayers; Hari Grants Creative Power
manasaivāsṛjat pūrvaṁ prajāpatir imāḥ prajāḥ devāsura-manuṣyādīn nabhaḥ-sthala-jalaukasaḥ
This verse states that in the beginning the Prajāpati generated various categories of beings—devas, asuras, humans, and others—simply through mental creation, showing the subtle, will-based power of cosmic progenitors under the Lord’s order.
The verse refers to the Prajāpati as the progenitor responsible for producing populations; in this chapter’s context it is Dakṣa, whose role is to expand living beings in the universe.
It highlights that intention and consciousness shape outcomes—cultivating a disciplined mind and God-centered purpose is foundational before actions, just as creation here begins from the mind.
