गुरुश्च रन्तिदेवश्च सङ्कृते: पाण्डुनन्दन । रन्तिदेवस्य महिमा इहामुत्र च गीयते ॥ २ ॥
guruś ca rantidevaś ca saṅkṛteḥ pāṇḍu-nandana rantidevasya mahimā ihāmutra ca gīyate
हे पांडुनंदन परीक्षित! संकृतीचे दोन पुत्र—गुरु आणि रंतिदेव. रंतिदेवाची महिमा या लोकात आणि परलोकातही गाईली जाते; मनुष्यांमध्येच नव्हे तर देवांमध्येही त्याची कीर्ती आहे।
