विप्रशापापदेशेन संहार: स्वकुलस्य च । उद्धवस्य च संवादो वसुदेवस्य चाद्भुत: ॥ ४२ ॥ यत्रात्मविद्या ह्यखिला प्रोक्ता धर्मविनिर्णय: । ततो मर्त्यपरित्याग आत्मयोगानुभावत: ॥ ४३ ॥
vipra-śāpāpadeśena saṁhāraḥ sva-kulasya ca uddhavasya ca saṁvādo vasudevasya cādbhutaḥ
येथे ब्राह्मणांच्या शापाचे निमित्त करून प्रभूंनी आपल्या कुलाचा संहार, नारदांसह वसुदेवांचा अद्भुत संवाद, तसेच उद्धव-कृष्ण संवाद—ज्यात संपूर्ण आत्मविद्या व धर्मनिर्णय सांगितला आहे—आणि नंतर स्वात्मयोग-शक्तीने श्रीकृष्णांनी मर्त्यलोकाचा त्याग केला, हे सर्व भागवतात वर्णिले आहे।
