श्रीशुक उवाच एवं सम्प्रार्थितो विप्र: स्वचिकीर्षितमेव तत् । चकार नामकरणं गूढो रहसि बालयो: ॥ ११ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca evaṁ samprārthito vipraḥ sva-cikīrṣitam eva tat cakāra nāma-karaṇaṁ gūḍho rahasi bālayoḥ
श्रीशुक म्हणाले—नंद महाराजांनी अशा प्रकारे विशेष विनंती केल्यावर, जे कार्य तो विप्र स्वतः करावयास इच्छित होता, तेच त्याने गुप्तपणे एकांतात राहून कृष्ण व बलराम या दोन्ही बालकांचे नामकरण केले।
