हा लघु अथर्ववैदिक सूक्त उपचार–समृद्धीची याचना आणि मंत्र-अधिकाराची ठाम प्रतिष्ठापना यांचा संगम करतो. आपः (जल) आणि सूर्य यांना माधुर्य, शुद्धी, आनंद व तेज प्रदान करण्याची विनंती केली जाते; तर सवितृ देव व्यापक वीर्य/उत्साहाची स्थापना करतो. पुढे सूक्त वाच् (दिव्य वाणी)च्या स्व-घोषणेकडे वळते: वाणी विश्वव्यवस्थेला क्रम देणारी शक्ती आपल्याकडे असल्याचे सांगते आणि जप करणाऱ्याचे उच्चार सामाजिक व यज्ञीयदृष्ट्या प्रभावी करते—‘अस्तित्व’ प्रदान करणारे, तसेच यज्ञाधार नसलेल्या विरोधकाला उभे राहण्याचा अधिकार/प्रतिष्ठा नाकारणारे.

माझ्यासाठी मधुमय आपः (जल) आपली शक्ती प्रवर्तित करो; माझ्यासाठी सूर्याने प्रकाशासाठी आनंददायी ज्योती आणली आहे. माझ्यासाठी पवित्र तपातून जन्मलेले सर्व देव; आणि माझ्यासाठी देव सविता व्यापक सामर्थ्य स्थापन करो.

मी पृथ्वी आणि द्यौ (स्वर्ग) यांना वेगळे करून सुव्यवस्थित केले; मी सातही ऋतू एकत्र उत्पन्न केले. मी जे बोलतो ते सत्यही करतो आणि असत्यही करतो; दैवी वाणीने मी सर्व जनांना सर्व बाजूंनी व्यापून टाकतो.

मी पृथ्वी आणि द्यौ (स्वर्ग) यांना जन्म दिला; मी ऋतू आणि सात नद्या उत्पन्न केल्या. मी जे बोलतो त्यातून सत्-असत्, सत्य-असत्य—हे सर्व घडते; मी—ज्याला सखा-युगल अग्नी आणि सोम अनुग्रह देत नाहीत त्याच्यासाठीही.

The rite first gathers life-force (water, radiance, Savitṛ’s impulse), then ‘seats’ that force in mantra itself: Vāc is invoked to make the recitation and the speaker’s words world-ordering and binding.
Recite 6.61.1 over clean water, sip or sprinkle it, then recite 6.61.2–3 slowly with clear intention for truthful, effective speech—ideally at sunrise or in bright daytime.
