Sukta 28
अरिष्टक्षयणम्। ऋचा कपोतं नुदत प्रणोदमिषं मदन्तः परि गां नयामः । संलोभयन्तो दुरिता पदानि हित्वा न ऊर्जं प्र पदात् पथिष्ठः
ṛcā́ kapótaṁ nudata práṇoda míṣaṁ mádantaḥ pári gā́ṁ nayāmaḥ | saṁlobháyanto duritā́ padā́ni hitvā́ na ūrjáṁ prá padāt pathíṣṭhaḥ ||
With a verse thrust ye the Pigeon forth—drive him away: with bait, exulting, we will lead him round unto the open ground; enticing him, let him leave behind the evil tracks, and step forth from our nourishment by the best of paths.
ऋचा (मंत्रऋचा) ने कपोताला ढकलून द्या—त्याला दूर हाकलून द्या. आमिष (चारा/प्रलोभन) देऊन, आनंदित होऊन, आम्ही त्याला मोकळ्या मैदानाकडे फिरवून नेऊ. त्याला लोभ दाखवून तो दुरित (अशुभ) पावलांचे ठसे मागे टाकू दे; आणि आमच्या ऊर्जेपासून (पोषणशक्तीपासून) दूर होऊन, सर्वश्रेष्ठ मार्गाने पुढे पाऊल टाकू दे.
