Sukta 140
उपहूतौ सयुजौ स्योनौ दन्तौ सुमङ्गलौ । अन्यत्र वां घोरं तन्वः१ परैतु दन्तौ मा हिंसिष्टं पितरं मातरं च
upáhūtau sayújau syónau dántau sumáṅgalau | anyátra vā́ṃ ghóram tanvàḥ párāitu dantau mā́ hiṃsiṣṭaṃ pitáraṃ mātáraṃ ca ||
Invoked and brought anear, united, kindly, auspicious, O ye two Teeth: elsewhere let your dreadful thing of the body depart. O ye two Teeth, harm not the father, harm not the mother also.
आवाहन करून जवळ आणलेले, युग्म, एकरूप, सुखद-आश्रय, मंगल—हे दोन दातांनो! तुमच्या देहातील जे भयंकर दुःख आहे ते अन्यत्र निघून जावो. हे दोन दातांनो, पित्याला इजा करू नका; मातेलाही इजा करू नका.
