अधरोऽधर उत्तरेभ्यो गूढः पृथिव्या मोत् सृपत्। वज्रेणावहतः शयाम्

IAST Transliteration

adháro’dhara úttarebhyo gūḍháḥ pṛthivyā́ mā́ út sṛ́pat | vájreṇā́vahatáḥ śayām

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Lower, yea lower than the upper folk—hidden in the earth—let him not creep forth upward. Smitten down with the thunderbolt, may he lie.

Translation

वरच्या लोकांपेक्षाही अधिक खाली असलेला तो पृथ्वीमध्ये गुप्त राहो; वरच्या दिशेने सरपटत बाहेर येऊ नये. वज्राने आघात झालेला तो तिथेच पडून राहो.
