कालोऽमूं दिवमजनयत् काल इमाः पृथिवीरुत। काले ह भूतं भव्यं चेषितं ह वि तिष्ठते

IAST Transliteration

kāló ’mū́ṃ dívaṃ ajanayat kālá imā́ḥ pṛthivī́r utá | kālé há bhūtáṃ bhávyam ceṣitáṃ há ví tíṣṭhate ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Time generated yonder heaven; Time also these broad earths. In Time, indeed, what hath been and what shall be, and what is set in motion—therein it standeth forth, distributed and established.

Translation

काळाने त्या दूरच्या द्युलोकाला उत्पन्न केले; काळानेच या विस्तीर्ण पृथ्वीही निर्माण केल्या. काळातच—जे झाले आहे, जे होणार आहे, आणि जे प्रेरित होऊन चालू झाले आहे—ते सर्व तेथे विभागले जाऊन, प्रतिष्ठित होऊन, स्पष्टपणे स्थिर उभे राहते.
