Related Themes: Agni Purana āyurveda-related prayogas linking mantra/homa with health outcomes; Agni Purana lists of dravya for homa and their phala (where enumerated)
It prescribes a mantra-based homa: offering leaves and fruits into the sacred fire while reciting the mantra indicated by the incipit ‘śatam ya…’ to obtain health, prosperity, and long life.
Alongside theology and dharma, the Agni Purāṇa preserves practical, results-oriented procedures—here a ritual-therapeutic application (homa as remedial practice) aligned with Ayurvedic aims like ārogya (health) and dīrghāyuḥ (longevity).
The act links disciplined oblation and mantra-recitation with auspicious outcomes, presenting health, fortune, and longevity as fruits of meritorious, purified action performed through Agni (the consecrated fire).
