अर्घकाण्डम् (Argha-kāṇḍa) — Standards of Argha and Month-wise Prescriptions under Portent Conditions
युद्धजयार्णव प्रवाहातील या अध्यायात भगवान अग्नी रणतंत्रातील रेखाचित्रांपासून वळून, उत्पात घडल्यावर धर्म्य आर्थिक प्रतिसाद कसा द्यावा हे सांगतात. उल्कापात, भूकंप, अशुभ गर्जना, ग्रहण, धूमकेतू-दर्शन आणि दिशादाह—हे ज्योतिषानुसार अस्थैर्यसूचक मानून शांती व स्थिरीकरणासाठी ‘अर्घ’चा मानक (नियत दान-प्रतिक्रिया) ठरविला आहे. साधकाने महिन्यानुसार चिन्हे नोंदून संग्रह व दानाचे प्रमाण वाढवावे—चैत्रात सहा महिन्यांत फल तीव्र, वैशाखात संग्रहाची सहापट वाढ, ज्येष्ठ-आषाढात ज्वारी/धान्य नव्हे तर यव-गहू इ. मुख्य धान्यांवर भर. पुढे श्रावणात तूप/तेल, आश्विनात वस्त्रे व धान्य, कार्तिकात धान्य, मार्गशीर्षात खरेदी केलेली दानवस्तू, पुष्यात केशर/सुगंध, माघात धान्य, फाल्गुनात खरेदी केलेली सुगंधी द्रव्ये सांगितली आहेत. अशा रीतीने शकुनशास्त्र, ऋतू-अर्थव्यवस्था आणि धर्मदान यांना विजय-साधनाच्या प्रोटोकॉलमध्ये जोडले आहे।
