bāṇa uvāca kṛtvā mahīmalpatarāṃ jagatpate svāyaṃbhuvādibhuvanāni vai ṣaṭ kathaṃ baliṃ prārthayase suvistṛtāṃ yāṃ prāgbhavān no vipulāmathākarot // VamP_65.37 vibho sahī yāvatīyaṃ tvayādya sṛṣṭacā sametā bhuvanāntarālaiḥ dattā ca tātena hi tāvatīyaṃ kiṃ vākchalenaiṣa nibadhyate 'dya

ബാണൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഹേ ജഗത്പതേ! സ്വായംഭുവാദി ആറു ഭുവനങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കെ നീ ഭൂമിയെ അത്യൽപമാക്കി; പിന്നെ നീ തന്നേ മുമ്പ് അപാരമാക്കിയ അതിവിസ്തൃതമായ ദാനം ബലിയോട് എങ്ങനെ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു? ഹേ വിഭോ! ഇന്ന് നീ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചതത്രയും—ലോകങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലെ അന്തരാലങ്ങളോടുകൂടി—അതേ അളവാണ് എന്റെ പിതാവ് ദാനമായി നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. പിന്നെ ഇന്ന് വാക്കിന്റെ ചതിയാൽ അവനെ എന്തിന് ബന്ധിക്കുന്നു?
