Brahmā (deduced for Vaiṣṇavakhaṇḍa–Ayodhyāmāhātmya context)
Tirtha: Sahasradhārā
Type: ghat
Scene: On Sarayū’s auspicious bank, the ground bears many outlets like a thousand channels; Śeṣa’s hood-jewels appear heat-scorched, leaving a luminous trace; sages/locals recognize and name the place Sahasradhārā.
Sacred places become powerful through divine events; remembering their origin deepens faith in tīrtha-māhātmya.
Sahasradhārā, a mahātīrtha on the Sarayū riverbank in Ayodhyā.
No direct ritual is prescribed here; the verse primarily establishes the tīrtha’s name and sanctity.
