purā brahmadinasyāṃte jagadetaccarācaram | saṃhṛtya bhagavānrudro brahmaviṣṇupuraskṛtaḥ

പുരാതനകാലത്ത്, ബ്രഹ്മദിനാന്തത്തിൽ, ബ്രഹ്മാവും വിഷ്ണുവും പുരസ്കൃതരായിരിക്കെ ഭഗവാൻ രുദ്രൻ ഈ ചരാചര ലോകത്തെ സംഹാരത്തിലേക്ക് ലയിപ്പിച്ചു.
