dhanadhānyasamṛddho'pi lubdho bhramati bhūtale | atīva kopano vipro vedapāṭhavivarjitaḥ

ധനധാന്യസമൃദ്ധനായിട്ടും അവൻ ലോഭവശാൽ ഭൂമിയിൽ അലഞ്ഞു നടന്നു. ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ അത്യന്തം ക്രോധിയും വേദപഠനരഹിതനും ആയിരുന്നു.
