न भुंक्ते पृथिवीपालो न राज्यं बहु मन्यते । न दारैर्विद्यते कार्यं नाश्वैर्न च गजै रथैः
na bhuṃkte pṛthivīpālo na rājyaṃ bahu manyate | na dārairvidyate kāryaṃ nāśvairna ca gajai rathaiḥ
ഭൂമിപാലകൻ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചില്ല; രാജ്യം പോലും വലിയതായി കരുതിയില്ല. ഭാര്യമാരിലും കാര്യമൊന്നും കണ്ടില്ല; കുതിര, ആന, രഥങ്ങളിലുമല്ല.
