putro vikramaśīlasya kāliṃdījaṭharodbhavaḥ | durdamo nāma bhavitā bhartā hyasyā mahīpatiḥ

അവൻ വിക്രമശീലന്റെ പുത്രൻ, കാലിന്ദിയുടെ ഗർഭത്തിൽ നിന്നു ജനിച്ചവൻ; ‘ദുര്ദമ’ എന്ന നാമത്തോടെ ഭൂപതിയായി ഇവളുടെ ഭർത്താവാകും।
