Sūta (deduced narrator)
Tirtha: Vastrāpatha-kṣetra (periphery)
Type: kshetra
Listener: King (nṛpa)
Scene: At the edge of the sacred boundary, a grand yajña blazes; Śukra presides as ācārya, sages assemble, and Bali—radiant with delight—distributes gifts in many forms.
True ritual excellence is inseparable from self-giving: dakṣiṇā and dāna transform sacrifice into lived dharma.
The narrative remains anchored to Vastrāpatha-kṣetra, even noting the yajña being performed outside the kṣetra boundary.
A yajña characterized as sarvasva-dakṣiṇa (offering one’s full wealth as priestly gift), with invited sages officiating and extensive dāna.
