तामसं राजसं चापि यत्किञ्चिद्विष्णुपूजने । तच्च सत्त्वत्वमायाति निम्नगा च यथार्णवे

tāmasaṃ rājasaṃ cāpi yatkiñcidviṣṇupūjane | tacca sattvatvamāyāti nimnagā ca yathārṇave

വിഷ്ണുപൂജയിൽ താമസമോ രാജസമോ ആയ ഏതൊക്കെയുണ്ടായാലും, അതും സത്ത്വമായി പരിവർത്തിതമാകുന്നു—നദി സമുദ്രത്തെ പ്രാപിച്ച് അതോടൊന്നാകുന്നതുപോലെ।
