पश्चिमां दिशमास्थाय तीरे नदनदीपतेः । तेजोमयस्य रूपस्य द्रष्टुकामा महात्मनः । तस्मिन्मानसमाधाय तेपिरे परमं तपः

paścimāṃ diśamāsthāya tīre nadanadīpateḥ | tejomayasya rūpasya draṣṭukāmā mahātmanaḥ | tasminmānasamādhāya tepire paramaṃ tapaḥ

അവർ പടിഞ്ഞാറുദിശയെ ആശ്രയിച്ച് നദീനാഥന്റെ തീരത്ത് നിലകൊണ്ടു. ആ മഹാത്മാവിന്റെ തേജോമയ രൂപം ദർശിക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു മനസ്സിനെ അവനിൽ ഏകാഗ്രമാക്കി പരമതപസ് അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു.
