कुशेन प्रेषितश्चास्मि समीपे ते जनार्दन । किं तवापकृतं नाथ येन दैत्याञ्जिघांससि
kuśena preṣitaścāsmi samīpe te janārdana | kiṃ tavāpakṛtaṃ nātha yena daityāñjighāṃsasi
ഹേ ജനാർദ്ദനാ! കുശൻ എന്നെ അങ്ങയുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് അയച്ചതാണ്. ഹേ നാഥാ! അങ്ങയോട് അവർ എന്ത് അപരാധമാണ് ചെയ്തത്, എന്തിനാണ് അങ്ങ് ദൈത്യന്മാരെ വധിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്?
