वहते गोमती यत्र सागरेण समंततः । द्वारावतीति सा विप्रा आनर्त्तेषु प्रकीर्त्तिता
vahate gomatī yatra sāgareṇa samaṃtataḥ | dvārāvatīti sā viprā ānartteṣu prakīrttitā
ഗോമതി ഒഴുകുന്നിടത്ത്, സമുദ്രം എല്ലാടവും ചുറ്റിപ്പറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്ന ആ സ്ഥലം—ഹേ വിപ്രന്മാരേ, ആനർത്തദേശത്ത് ‘ദ്വാരാവതി’ എന്ന പേരിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്।
