प्रह्लाद उवाच । विष्णुं वरप्रदं श्रुत्वा भ्रातॄणां ब्रह्मनंदनाः । मंदाकिनी वसिष्ठेन समानीता धरातले
prahlāda uvāca | viṣṇuṃ varapradaṃ śrutvā bhrātṝṇāṃ brahmanaṃdanāḥ | maṃdākinī vasiṣṭhena samānītā dharātale
പ്രഹ്ലാദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—വിഷ്ണു വരദാതാവാണെന്ന് കേട്ടപ്പോൾ, ബ്രഹ്മപുത്രന്മാർ സഹോദരകാര്യാർത്ഥം വസിഷ്ഠനാൽ മന്ദാകിനിയെ ഭൂമിയിലേക്കു ഇറക്കിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്നു।
