तस्मादिन्द्रपदं नाम सुप्रसिद्धं धरातले । इन्द्रेण स्थापितं लिंगं यस्माद्भावनया सह । प्रसिद्धमिंद्रनाम्ना वा इन्द्रेश्वरमिति स्मृतम्
tasmādindrapadaṃ nāma suprasiddhaṃ dharātale | indreṇa sthāpitaṃ liṃgaṃ yasmādbhāvanayā saha | prasiddhamiṃdranāmnā vā indreśvaramiti smṛtam
അതുകൊണ്ട് ‘ഇന്ദ്രപദം’ എന്ന നാമം ഭൂമിയിൽ സുപ്രസിദ്ധമാണ്. ഇന്ദ്രൻ ഭക്തിഭാവത്തോടെ സ്ഥാപിച്ച ലിംഗമായതിനാൽ, അത് ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ നാമത്താൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമായി ‘ഇന്ദ്രേശ്വരൻ’ എന്നു സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു।
