ഇങ്ങനെ തർക്കിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ആ രണ്ടു വിപ്രന്മാർ രാജദ്വാരത്തിലെത്തി. അവർ ഭീകരമായ കലഹം നടത്തി; സ്വന്തം ജീവൻ പോലും ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാൻ തയ്യാറായവരെപ്പോലെ തോന്നി.
