te mathyamānāstvaritā devāḥ svātmārthasādhakāḥ | abhilāṣaparāḥ sarve na śrṛṇvaṃti yato jaḍāḥ

Translation

എന്നാൽ ആ ദേവന്മാർ മഥനത്തിൽ തന്നെ ത്വരിതരായി, സ്വന്തം സ്വാർത്ഥസാധനത്തിൽ മാത്രം ലീനരായിരുന്നു; എല്ലാവരും ആഗ്രഹപരരായി ജഡത്വം പ്രാപിച്ചതിനാൽ അവർ കേട്ടില്ല।
