bhṛgūṇāmanvaye bhūtvā kṛtavīryātmajo hataḥ | itopyasmānmahāviṣṇo tathaiva paripālaya
Devas
Scene: Paraśurāma (Bhṛgu-lineage avatāra) confronting and slaying Kārtavīryārjuna (son of Kṛtavīrya), followed by a devotional turn: devas (or supplicants) with folded hands appealing to Mahāviṣṇu for ongoing protection in the Himalayan sacred setting.
Past divine interventions become the basis for present surrender: remembering grace strengthens trust in protection.
The Kedāra-kṣetra narrative frame remains, but this verse focuses on avatāra history and a plea for protection.
No specific rite; the act is supplication (prārthanā) and devotional recollection.
