saṃvatsarasahasrācca svaśiro hi mahābhujaḥ | kṛttvā kareṇa liṃgasya pūjanārthaṃ samarpayat

ആയിരം വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷം, ആ മഹാബാഹു സ്വന്തം കൈകൊണ്ട് തന്റെ ശിരസ്സ് ഛേദിച്ച് ശിവലിംഗപൂജയ്ക്കായി സമർപ്പിച്ചു.
