ततो रुद्रं बभापे स वरं सम्प्रार्थयाम्यहम् । अहं दासोस्मि ते रुद्र त्वं मे स्वामी न संशयः
tato rudraṃ babhāpe sa varaṃ samprārthayāmyaham | ahaṃ dāsosmi te rudra tvaṃ me svāmī na saṃśayaḥ
പിന്നീട് അവൻ റുദ്രനോട് പറഞ്ഞു—“ഞാൻ ഒരു വരം അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ റുദ്രാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ദാസൻ; നീയാണ് എന്റെ സ്വാമി, സംശയമില്ല।”
