एवं विचरमाणोऽसौ किरातो भूतहिंसकः । यदृच्छयागतस्तत्र यत्र लिंगं सुपूजितम्
evaṃ vicaramāṇo'sau kirāto bhūtahiṃsakaḥ | yadṛcchayāgatastatra yatra liṃgaṃ supūjitam
ഇങ്ങനെ അലഞ്ഞുതിരിഞ്ഞ ആ ജീവഹിംസകനായ കിരാതൻ യാദൃച്ഛികമായി അവിടെ എത്തി—അവിടെ ശിവലിംഗം അത്യന്തം ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായി പൂജിക്കപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു।
