शक्रं च पृष्ठतः कृत्वा योधयामास वै तदा । वीरभद्रस्य विष्णोश्च युद्धं परमभूत्तदा
śakraṃ ca pṛṣṭhataḥ kṛtvā yodhayāmāsa vai tadā | vīrabhadrasya viṣṇośca yuddhaṃ paramabhūttadā
ശക്രനായ ഇന്ദ്രനെ പിന്നിൽ നിർത്തി വിഷ്ണു അപ്പോൾ യുദ്ധത്തിലേർപ്പെട്ടു; ആ സമയത്ത് വീരഭദ്രനും വിഷ്ണുവും തമ്മിലുള്ള പോരാട്ടം അത്യന്തം ഉഗ്രമായി.
