yāvatkare gṛhyamāṇo girijāṃ sa samīpagaḥ | tāvattasya puraḥ sadyastirodhānaṃ gatā satī

അവൻ സമീപത്തു വന്ന് ഗിരിജയുടെ കൈ പിടിക്കുവാൻ ഒരുങ്ങിയതുമാത്രത്തിൽ, ആ സതി അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്ന് തത്സമയം അന്തർധാനം ചെയ്തു.
