एवमेव न चाप्येवमेवमेव न चान्यथा । कार्यमेव न वा कार्यं कार्याकार्यं तथा परे
evameva na cāpyevamevameva na cānyathā | kāryameva na vā kāryaṃ kāryākāryaṃ tathā pare
“അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ!”—“അങ്ങനെ അല്ല!”—“അങ്ങനെ മാത്രമേ!”—“മറ്റെങ്ങനെല്ല!” ഇങ്ങനെ ചിലർ വാദിച്ചു—“ഇത് ചെയ്യേണ്ടതുതന്നെ” അല്ലെങ്കിൽ “ചെയ്യേണ്ടതില്ല”; മറ്റുചിലർ ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്–ചെയ്യരുതത് എന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് തർക്കിച്ചു।
