देवा ऊचुः । मदनद्वं समर्थोसि अस्माञ्जेतुं सदैव हि । महेशं प्रति गच्छाशु सुरकार्यार्थसिद्धये । पार्वत्या सहितं शंभुं कुरुष्वाद्य महामते
devā ūcuḥ | madanadvaṃ samarthosi asmāñjetuṃ sadaiva hi | maheśaṃ prati gacchāśu surakāryārthasiddhaye | pārvatyā sahitaṃ śaṃbhuṃ kuruṣvādya mahāmate
ദേവന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ മദനാ! ഞങ്ങളെയുമെപ്പോഴും ജയിക്കാൻ നീ സമർത്ഥനാണ്. ദേവകാര്യസിദ്ധിക്കായി വേഗം മഹേശനോടു പോകുക. ഹേ മഹാമതേ! ഇന്ന് പാർവതിയോടുകൂടിയ ശംഭുവിനെ വശീകരിക്കൂ.
