evaṃ divyasahasrāṇi varṣāṇi ca tatāpa vai | himā layastadāgatya pārvatīṃ kṛtaniścayām

Translation

ഇങ്ങനെ അവൾ സഹസ്രങ്ങളായ ദിവ്യവർഷങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചയമായും തപസ് അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു. പിന്നെ ഹിമാലയം ദൃഢനിശ്ചയമുള്ള പാർവതിയിലേക്കു വന്നു।
