विचचार तदा मत्तः किलाहं वारणो यथा । कृत्याकृत्यविचारेण विमुक्तोऽतीव गर्वितः
vicacāra tadā mattaḥ kilāhaṃ vāraṇo yathā | kṛtyākṛtyavicāreṇa vimukto'tīva garvitaḥ
അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ മത്തനായ ആനയെപ്പോലെ ഇങ്ങും അങ്ങും അലഞ്ഞു; ചെയ്യേണ്ടതും ചെയ്യരുതാത്തതുമായ വിവേചനം വിട്ട് അത്യന്തം അഹങ്കാരത്തിൽ വീർപ്പുമുട്ടി.
