ayuktametadbhīṣmādyaiḥ pratijñātaṃ yudhiṣṭhira | tato jaye ca vijaye niścayo hi mṛṣaiva tat

ഹേ യുധിഷ്ഠിരാ, ഭീഷ്മാദികൾ ചെയ്ത ഈ പ്രതിജ്ഞ യുക്തമല്ല. അതിനാൽ ജയമോ പരാജയമോ എന്നുറപ്പിക്കൽ സത്യത്തിൽ മിഥ്യ തന്നെയാണ്.
