यद्येनमधुना नैव हन्यां ब्रह्मवचोऽन्यथा । ततो भवेदिति स्मृत्वा मयासौ विनिपातितः
yadyenamadhunā naiva hanyāṃ brahmavaco'nyathā | tato bhavediti smṛtvā mayāsau vinipātitaḥ
“ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ അവനെ വധിക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ ബ്രഹ്മാവിന്റെ വചനം മറ്റഥാ (അസത്യ) ആയേനെ. അതിന്റെ ഫലം സ്മരിച്ച് ഞാൻ അവനെ വീഴ്ത്തി.”
