तस्य तन्निष्फलं सर्वमित्युक्तं पाल्यमेव मे । तस्मात्प्रपूजयेन्नित्यं वटस्थां वटयक्षिणीम् । पुष्पैर्धूपैस्तु नैवेद्यैर्मंत्रेणानेन भक्तितः
tasya tanniṣphalaṃ sarvamityuktaṃ pālyameva me | tasmātprapūjayennityaṃ vaṭasthāṃ vaṭayakṣiṇīm | puṣpairdhūpaistu naivedyairmaṃtreṇānena bhaktitaḥ
അവനു വേണ്ടി എല്ലാം നിഷ്ഫലമാകുന്നു—എന്നു പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇത് എന്റെ ആജ്ഞപ്രകാരം നിർബന്ധമായി പാലിക്കണം. അതിനാൽ വടവൃക്ഷത്തിൽ അധിവസിക്കുന്ന വടയക്ഷിണിയെ നിത്യം ഭക്തിയോടെ പൂജിക്കണം—പുഷ്പം, ധൂപം, നൈവേദ്യം, ഈ മന്ത്രത്തോടുകൂടെ।
