मामुवाच सदा पुत्र पितॄणां भक्तिकृद्भव । सोऽहं मातुर्वचः श्रुत्वा मेरुपादात्समागतः
māmuvāca sadā putra pitṝṇāṃ bhaktikṛdbhava | so'haṃ māturvacaḥ śrutvā merupādātsamāgataḥ
അവൾ എപ്പോഴും എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു—“മകനേ, പിതൃദേവന്മാരോടു ഭക്തിയുള്ളവനാകുക.” അതുകൊണ്ട് മാതാവിന്റെ വാക്ക് കേട്ട് ഞാൻ മേരു പർവതത്തിന്റെ പാദത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഇവിടെ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
